Whether you are onboarding a new team member or need to configure access for a partner, creating a user account is a fundamental, simple, and quick step.
The creation of new users is managed independently by your account administrators, within the limit of the number of users included in your contract (excluding view-only profiles).
If you are not an administrator yourself, we invite you to contact the person responsible for this management within your organization.

Requirements
Although creating a user is quick, controlling and restricting their access to data requires configuring in advance:
- A profile (learn more)
- A role (learn more)
- An analysis perimeter (learn more)
- And if needed, a comparison perimeter (learn more)
Access user management
From the platform's administration center, you can create, modify, search, export and delete users on your account.
⚠️ The administration center is only accessible to users whose profile holds administrator privileges ("Manage").
To do this, from the platform's left sidebar, access the administration center by clicking on the "Administration" tab.
Then, in the administration center's left sidebar, expand the "Users and roles" section, then click on the "Users" sub-section.
Create a new user
You have three methods to create new users on the SatisFactory platform:
- Manual creation: directly from the administration interface, ideal for adding a single user
- Manual bulk import: from a pre-formatted CSV file, to be used when you want to create several users at the same time
- Automatic bulk import: by placing a pre-formatted CSV file on an SFTP server, recommended to automate recurring user creation
Each method therefore meets a specific need depending on the number of users to add. Moreover, the settings to define for these new users are the same regardless of the creation method.
💭 To set up automatic user import via SFTP, please contact your SatisFactory Customer Success Manager directly. This is considered a specific project.
⚠️ For security reasons, user creation is the responsibility of your platform administrators. SatisFactory's Support is therefore not authorized to perform this operation.
Create a new user manually via the interface
From the "Users" section of the administration center, click the "Add user" button, located in the upper-right part of the page.
A new panel opens on the right, allowing you to enter the information required to create the user. The fields to complete are as follows:
- The user’s first and last name
- The user’s email
- The user profile (learn more)
- The platform display language for the user
- The user’s analysis perimeter (learn more)
- The user’s comparison perimeter (learn more)
- The user’s subscriptions to platform notifications (learn more)
Once the user configuration is completed, click the "Save" button to create the account. The user will then need to activate their access by setting their password.
💭 Selecting the profile and perimeter automatically assigns the associated permissions to the user and activates their notifications. However, the user can unsubscribe from them.
Create a new user manually by importing a CSV file
First, download the user import CSV template. It is available as an attachment to this article. You can also download it directly from the platform using the "Export" button, or create it yourself while respecting the required format (CSV, UTF-8 encoding, semicolon separator).

From the "Users" section of the administration center, click the "Upload a file" button located in the upper right part of the page.
Once the CSV template is completed and uploaded to the platform, the accounts for the users present in the file are automatically created. They will then need to activate their access by setting their password.
User activation
Whether created via the interface or by file import, each new user automatically receives an email sent from the address "satisfactory@email-booster.satisfactory.fr", inviting them to activate their account by setting a secure password.

⚠️ Using the initial link, the user has 14 days to activate their account. If they do not set their password in time, the user will need to generate a new activation link via the "Forgot password?" button available on the SatisFactory platform login page (https://feedback.satisfactory.fr/en/login). However, this new link will expire after 12 hours.
