The different types of widgets
SatisFactory offers a wide range of widgets, each capable of displaying different data and having a distinct appearance.
To discover all the possible configurations, we invite you to consult the dedicated article: The different types of widgets.
Create a widget
The widget creation module is accessible from the following button, present in the upper right corner of the dashboard:
The creation of a widget is organized around 5 key steps:
|
1 Data category |
2 Graphical presentation |
3 Dataset |
4 Filters |
5 Location and Name |
| Indicate the main type of data on which the widget is based | Select the most relevant display mode to represent the statistical data in the widget | Specify the specific dataset that the widget must represent | Define the necessary filters to display only relevant information in the widget | Choose which dashboard the widget is integrated into, and under what title |
| key indicator, satisfaction item, additional data, comments & semantic analysis, survey monitoring, and customer relationship | sunburst, bar chart, evolution graph, score with or without comparison, ranking, etc. | Brand NPS, Google score, return rate, main semantic themes, specific metadata, etc. | specific period, targeting of a segment or a geographical area | "NPS by site", "Email survey sending evolution", etc. |
Step 1: Indicate the data category
To begin, select the data category that will delimit the perimeter of the widget and set its analytical framework.
You can choose from several data categories to build your widgets:
- Key / global indicators: result, KPI, or scores
- Satisfaction items: numerical answers to questions in your surveys
- Additional data: contextual information such as metadata linked to the Client, Journey, Site, or Experience
- Comments and semantic analysis: answers to open-ended questions in your surveys as well as their verbatim analysis
- Survey monitoring: data related to the tracking of solicitations sent as part of your surveys
- Customer relationship: data related to the handling of alerts and interactions with customers
Step 2: Select the data display mode
After choosing the data category for your widget, select the graphical presentation mode most relevant to your needs.
In order to guarantee an effective analysis, it is crucial to opt for the visualization that best highlights the information you wish to explore.
💭 Data presentation options depend on the data category previously chosen.
💭 For any suggestion of a new display option, we encourage you to share it within our community.
Step 3: Specify the dataset
Choosing the dataset is the most crucial step: this is where you select the exact data that will be presented and analyzed in your widget.
The initially chosen data category determines the following elements available for selection:
- Key / global indicators: NPS, CSAT, CES, satisfaction percentage, Google score, TrustPilot score, etc.
- Satisfaction items: overall satisfaction, yes/no answer, opt-in, intent to return, etc.
- Additional data: channel, store name, title, country, region, salesperson, advisor, completed survey, etc.
- Comments and semantic analysis: number of comments, volume of comments in themes, volume of comments in sub-themes, etc.
- Survey monitoring: volume of solicited contacts, return rate, etc.
- Customer relationship: number of alerts, resolution rate, etc.
Step 4: Define the period and data filters
After selecting your dataset, you can apply filters to refine the analysis of your widget on a specific segment.
There are 2 categories of filters:
Period filters |
Metadata filters |
||||
| Standard periods | Custom periods | Site | Client | Journey | Experience |
|
|
|
|
|

💭 For your widgets to update automatically, favor dynamic periods (examples: "Current month", "Last year", etc.) rather than fixed dates selected manually in the calendar. This choice is essential if you wish to track the evolution of your data over time or use the comparison options (examples: "Last year", "Previous quarter", etc.).
You have the possibility to use aggregation for certain data, which allows you to target the displayed statistic. For example, for a CSAT key indicator out of 5, you can choose to display only the number of respondents who gave the maximum rating of 5/5 in order to highlight them.
Step 5: Name and place the widget
The final step consists of choosing the location of the widget. It can be placed in the current dashboard, in the overview, or within another dashboard.
Now assign a name to your widget, which will serve as a title at the top of the element.
Finally, by pressing the "Create widget" button, it will automatically be created and placed in the chosen dashboard, occupying an available space or positioning itself in the last position.
⚠️ To guarantee clear, synthetic, and performant dashboards, the number of widgets is limited to 30 per dashboard, separators included.
To go further, whether to modify this widget or manage the content of your dashboard, consult the dedicated documentation.
