Centralize your TrustPilot pages on SatisFactory to manage your e-reputation, monitor the competition, and respond to your reviews directly from a single interface.

Step 2: Authorize the TrustPilot API connection to SatisFactory
Step 3: Retrieve the unique ID of each page and its URL
Step 4: Activate the integration of TrustPilot reviews on the platform
Step 5: Add the TrustPilot pages into the platform
Step 1: Subscribe to the integration of TrustPilot reviews with response from SatisFactory
To begin, request your SatisFactory Customer Success Manager to activate the TrustPilot integration. You will thus be able to automate the collection of your reviews and respond to them directly from the platform to effectively manage your e-reputation, at the local as well as global level.
As it is an API interfacing, you must have subscribed to the optional TrustPilot module allowing data sharing ("Connect").
Unlike Google Business Profile, the integration of this third-party source offers an additional exchange channel: you can not only respond to reviews, but also directly contact their authors by email.
Step 2: Authorize the TrustPilot API connection to SatisFactory
In order to allow the SatisFactory platform to access the TrustPilot reviews, it is necessary to authorize the connection via the TrustPilot API from your TrustPilot Business account.
To do this, log in to your TrustPilot Business interface with an account that has administrator rights.
From the main menu, access the section dedicated to settings or API integrations.
Then generate the access credentials required by TrustPilot for an API connection (API key and secret key).
Once the credentials are generated, transmit them to the SatisFactory technical team.
⚠️ The TrustPilot access credentials are strictly confidential. They must be transmitted through a secure channel.
Step 3: Retrieve the unique ID of each page and its URL
The Business Unit ID is a unique alphanumeric identifier assigned by TrustPilot to each referenced company. It is not the name of the establishment visible in the URL, but an internal technical code.
Start by accessing the public page of the concerned establishment on the TrustPilot website and display the source code of the page (via right click or the Ctrl + U shortcut).
Once the source code is open in a new tab, use the search function (Ctrl + F) and enter the term "data-businessunit-id" or "businessUnitId".
Copy the string of characters located right after this term; it is the Business Unit ID of the company.
The URL to specify in the SatisFactory platform is the one that you can find in the address bar, on the page of the concerned TrustPilot establishment.
The retrieval of the Business Unit ID must be repeated for each page whose reviews you wish to integrate into SatisFactory. Set them aside to use them during the configuration of the pages to integrate into the platform.
Step 4: Activate the integration of TrustPilot reviews on the platform
⚠️ This step is usually performed by your SatisFactory Customer Success Manager.
From the administration center of the platform, access the "Program settings" section.
Once in the program settings, check the "TrustPilot" option in the "Social network channels" field to allow the collection of reviews and the ability to respond to them from the interface.
The configuration prerequisites for the integration of TrustPilot reviews into SatisFactory are now in place. All that remains is to configure the pages in the tool.
Step 5: Add the TrustPilot pages into the platform
You have 2 methods to integrate new pages originating from TrustPilot onto the SatisFactory platform:
- Manual creation: directly from the administration interface, ideal for adding a page occasionally
- Manual mass import: from a preformatted CSV file, to be used when you wish to configure multiple pages simultaneously
Each method thus responds to a specific need depending on the volume of pages to configure. Furthermore, the settings to define for these new pages are the same, regardless of the creation method.
Add a TrustPilot page manually via the interface
From the "Social networks" section of the administration center, click on the "Add a social network" button, located on the upper right part of the page.
A new configuration pane opens on the right, allowing you to enter the information necessary for the integration of a new TrustPilot page.
- Page label
Start by assigning a name to your page.
This name will appear in the competitive analysis, as well as in the exports available on the platform.
To facilitate the reading of benchmarks, place the name of the brand associated with the page at the beginning of the label.
Example: Prefer "SatisFactory Showcase site" to "Web SatisFactory".
- Metadata identifying the page
Next, select all the metadata associated with your page.
This configuration will make it possible to precisely identify the data that specifically concerns this element in the data flow and associate them with the correct metadata in the platform.
Example: For the e-commerce site page = "channel="trustpilot"&origin="e-commerce".
- Page URL
Complete this field with the specific URL of the public TrustPilot page.
- ID (unique and technical identifier) of the page
This field must be filled with site-specific data that will be completed by the SatisFactory technical team via your Customer Success Manager. You can leave it empty initially.
- Page channel
Select the "trustpilot" channel.
- Page identifier
Enter a unique identifier for the page. This code will serve as a linking key to correctly associate the competitors to the corresponding pages in the platform.
The choice of the label is free (it can include the name of the page and potentially its geographical area or its type), but be vigilant: this identifier must be immutable, any modification of the identifier will break the integration.
- Competitors
Enter the information of your page's competitors now if you wish, or do so at a later time by following the procedure.
Once the configuration of the TrustPilot page is finalized, press the "Save" button to create it.
💭 The integration of historical data (last 24 months) of a new page into the platform can take between 2 to 3 days. The system queries the external source every 24 hours to ensure data updating.
Add a TrustPilot page manually by CSV file import
Build the import file with a spreadsheet
Before being able to add TrustPilot pages with or without their competitors, the first step consists of preparing a CSV file. This file will be imported into the platform to create the pages and competitors.
Beforehand, retrieve one of the CSV page import templates. They are available as attachments to this article. You can also download it directly from the platform via the "Export" button, or create it yourself by respecting the required format (CSV, UTF-8 encoding, semicolon separator).
Two CSV file templates are at your disposal depending on your integration needs:
- The "Site only" template: to configure a new page in an isolated manner.
- The "Site and Competitors" template: to configure a new page and up to 9 of its competitors.
These two files share a common structure, but the template including the competition contains specific additional columns necessary for referencing third-party pages.
The columns must be completed as follows:
| Column | Column name | Description | Expected values |
A |
name | Page label on the platform | "SATISFACTORY - E-commerce site" |
B |
channel | Page data integration channel | "trustpilot" |
C |
url | Unique URL link of the page |
URL retrieved from the public TrustPilot page "https://www.trustpilot.com/review/satisfactory.fr" |
D |
identifier | Unique identifier for the page, serves as a linking key between it and its competitors | SATISFACTORY-Ecommerce |
E |
place_id | Specific data per page, transmitted by the SatisFactory technical team | numerical sequence provided by SatisFactory |
F |
metadata | Set of metadata associated with the page, makes it possible to precisely identify the data that concern it | "channel="trustpilot"&origin="e-commerce" |
G |
competitor_name |
Optional Label of the competing page on the platform |
"SKEEPERS - E-commerce site" |
H |
competitor_url |
Optional Unique URL link of the competing page |
URL retrieved from the competing public TrustPilot page "https://www.trustpilot.com/review/satisfactory.fr" |
I |
competitor_brand |
Optional Brand linked to the competing page |
"SKEEPERS" |
⚠️ If your integration concerns both pages with and without competitors, you will have to perform two distinct imports. Use the "Site only" template for your sole pages, and the "Site and Competitors" template for those requiring competition monitoring.
Load the CSV file into the platform
From the "Social networks" section of the administration center, click on the "Upload a file" button, located on the upper right part of the page.
Once the CSV template is completed and loaded into the platform, the pages (and their competitors if applicable) are automatically integrated into the platform. The integration of historical data (last 24 months) of a new page into the platform can take between 2 to 3 days. The system queries the external source every 24 hours to ensure data updating.
